We started DESIGN FEVER 39 with one goal in mind: Creating practical, inspiriting destination designs for the clients in hospitality development industry. Over the years, we’ve gathered a group of unique, passionate and artistic professionals who strive to inspire and be inspired by others.

Mr.Kim, a native Korean who worked and lived in the US and several other countries for the past 30 years, founded Design Fever39 with a vision to provide integrated hospitality planning and design services to clients in Asia. Having worked with some of the world's most prominent firms such as AECOM (formerly EDAW), WATG and Belt Collins Hawaii, he has over 18 years of planning and design experience and has been instrumental in leading a number of major tourism destination projects in Asia. As former director of tourism & hospitality and director of master planning at AECOM Singapore, Sam has designed a number of major tourism and hospitality projects in various scales. Prior to joining AECOM, he had worked in Hawaii with WATG and Belt Collins. Sam holds a Master of Landscape Architecture degree from Cornell University, Ithaca NY, and a Bachelor of Landscape Architecture degree from Utah State University, Utah USA.
WALTER JAMIESON, FCIP, BA, MES, MSC, PHD

For more than 35 years Walter Jamieson has worked to bridge the academic and consultancy worlds through creativity, innovation and out-of-the-box thinking. Independently and/or through collaborative exercises Walter Jamieson has worked with a significant number of public as well as private sector clients at an international, national, as well as the local level including the Asian Development Bank, United Nations World Tourism Organization AECOM, UNWTO, ESCAP, UNESCO and the ASEAN countries. He has been a member of faculty and management at universities in Canada, the United States, Thailand and Japan. He is currently Director of the Service Innovation program at Thammasat University and past Dean of the University of Hawaii School of Travel Industry Management. Walter is also the recipient of the Queen's Jubilee Medal in Canada and was elected to the College of Fellows, Canadian Institute of Planners.
IAN BUYCO

Mr. Buyco has over 13 years of extensive landscape design experience having practiced in the Philippines, UAE and Singapore with highly established firms such as EDAW|AECOM, ACL Asia and Belt Collins. Ian believes in sustainable and meaningful design that works with the local context and the grain of the land as opposed to imposing upon the site. This approach creates a responsive and integrated development that allows for creativity and ensures project viability. Having been trained and influenced by some of the most prominent landscape design firms, his aim is to infuse his own brand of artistry with the same level of dedication and excellence for the next generation of developments around the world.
SUVIT VARANYAPORN

Architecture & Interior Design
Mr. Varanyaporn brings over 20 years of extensive architecture and interior design experience from major design firms such as Banyan Tree Hotels and Space Architects Thailand. Suvit has designed and managed several major Banyan Tree and Angsana Resort projects in Vietnam, China, UAE and India as project architect and senior project manager. He has also designed several other major hotels & resorts, residential villas, condominium and commercial retail projects with other major architectural firms in Thailand. As an architectural design leader, he leads architectural design projects across South East Asia. Suvit has expertise in luxury resort design.
TERRY MEGALOS

Art + Creative Design
Mr. Megalos is an artist, musician and writer of Greek descent. He has been involved in the graphic design industry as a creative designer and writer in the past decade leading various strategic writing and content development projects as freelancer. He has joined Design Fever 39 as an artist and creative writer to help in the firm's creative approaches concerning the thematic destination development in design and planning. Terry studied Physics and Music in the University of Manchester, UK.
